Hello! My name is Caroline Lee. I am an illustrator who was born in Korea and has lived in Los Angeles, CA for years. Drawing has been my hobby for as far as I can remember. The style of my work is greatly influenced by a combination of manga, folk-art, vintage illustration from my childhood, and modern design. These influences allow me to create my characters that reflect notions of peace and a sense of companionship. My characters express emotions filled with joyous and blissful moments reflecting my belief that “you are never alone” and there is always someone who can help you.
I’m also interested in folktales from all around the world that teach moral lessons of truth that is often double-sided and fickle. By illustrating conflicting moods like bliss and sadness, abundance and scarcity in the stories, I hope my images spread joy and bliss through the world.
